Folk International Nepal is established in 2004 aiming to produce a quality textile products in order to create job opportunities to needy people of Nepal and help to  reach the market in foreign countries for Nepali products such as textile as well as handicraft goods and to be a partner of handicraft producers in order to assist their products in export market promotion.

Folk International Nepal is established with involvement of Viator AS – Norway with Nepali local partners. Viator AS P. Ltd is a company, is owned by 100% Normisjon. Normisjon is a biggest missionary humanitarian non profit making organization. It is working all over the world , specially in third world countries in order to assist needy people of deprived communities. It is working in South African countries as well as in south Asian countries such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal.

Folk International Nepal is involving in education sector too holding 50% shares in Elim Kids Academy aiming to provide a  quality education to children of backward families where it is providing more than 70 students almost a full scholarship these days.

Factory:

We have a small factory, located beside Soyambhunath stupa in Kathmandu. We have powerlooms as well as handlooms set up. We are small but we have almost full set up as a small industry.

Objectives:

• Introduce a quality textile products of Nepal in export market.
• Assist handicraft producers of Nepal being as a partner to promote their products.
• To create job opportunities to Nepali people.
• Generate fund for social activities to rural area of Nepal selling Nepali products, specially the products of handicrafts producers.

Export information:

 Since Nepal is a land locked country, we use to send shipment mostly through air cargo. Air Cargo will take around  one week delivery time and the cost is differ according to destinations and at the same time, it is depend on the volume of weight too. But in general it is cost from USD $.2.00 to USD $ 5.00 .

By sea route also we can send the shipment but it will take at least one month to arrive in the destination and some time, it will be damaged the goods by sea due to moisture, water leaking and long time containing in a containers. So we suggest to use Air cargo for a small volume of shipment.

Payment methods:

For export reason, we take 50% advance with the orders and rest of the 50% payment we need to have in advance before shipment dispatch day. Otherwise custom will not release goods without fully advance payment.
